尿道综合征是一组常见的与尿路感染有关证候，主要指下尿路感染症状，即尿频、尿急、尿痛或排尿不适、膀胱区疼痛等。尿道综合征在任何年龄均可发生，发生率很高，多见于已婚中青年女性具体流行病学统计资料，未见详尽报道。
尿道综合征的病因是性生活时尿道损伤、尿道旁腺感染、膀胱三角区发炎、阴道炎、应用阴道除臭剂或避孕润滑药、无润滑剂的性交创伤、阴道异常分泌、尿道器械检查、尿有沉积物或异物、各种先天性尿道口解剖异常、尿道口狭窄、尿道息肉或囊肿、结肠炎、药物过敏、饮茶或咖啡过多、对尼龙内裤或阴茎套或子宫帽过敏、雌激素不足的老年性萎缩、过度肥皂水洗或泡沫肥皂浴、个人卫生欠佳、长时间过度忍尿、手淫、穿瘦腿裤、骑车、高温、寒冷、紫外线、放射线、焦虑性精神病、癔病等均可引起。
