尿路刺激症又称为尿道综合征，包括尿频、尿急、尿痛及尿不尽的感觉，为膀胱颈和膀胱三角区受刺激所致，主要原因为尿路感染，及非感染性炎症和理化因素所致。尿道综合征是一组症状，并不是指某一种疾病。临床上在中年妇女中往往出现尿路刺激征而尿培养找不到细菌，因此在病因、病理、诊断等方面尚存在着争论。
尿痛见于尿道综合征、尿道炎、前列腺炎、膀胱结石、膀胱结核、异物、晚期膀胱癌等。尿痛为灼痛或刺痛。尿道炎多在排尿开始时出现疼痛;膀胱炎常在排尿终末时疼痛加重;前列腺炎除有尿痛外，耻骨上区、腰骶部或阴茎头也觉疼痛;膀胱结石或异物，多有尿流中断。
尿路刺激症包括尿频、尿急、尿痛、排尿不尽感及下腹坠痛等。正常人白天排尿3～5次，夜间0～1次，每次尿量约200～400ml。若排尿次数增多，而每次尿量不多，且每日尿量正常，称为尿频。若排尿时膀胱区和尿道有疼痛或灼热感称为尿痛。
