尿道综合征是指有下尿路刺激症状，无明显膀胱尿道器质性病变及菌尿的一组症状群，而非一种疾病。该症多发生于女性。尿道综合症的特点是发病块、消失也快，呈周期性发作，发作周期不定，病程长短不一，短者一至二天，甚至数小时，有的发作后不作特殊处理可自愈。尿道综合征的常用治疗方法有：
一、一般应休息、利尿、坐浴、下肤布热敖、针刺等治疗。同时服用颠茄合剂10毫升。日三次。
二、应用抗感染素药物如砒哌酸0.5克，一日四次，呋喃啶0.1克，一日三次或用复方新诺明1.0克一日二次。对于慢性病人应坚持用药二至三个月。
三、尿道梗阻的病人应行尿道外成成形术或尿道周围注射醋酸氟强地松十毫克每周二次，连用四周，目的是癍痕组织松懈。绝经期老年阴道炎及尿道炎者，可用女性激素如乙烯雌酚。有外阴炎，阴道炎者可应用雌激素软膏和呋喃妥因栓剂治疗。
